Kehinde Wile and his Art

In Kehinde Wile artwork the subject is young black men that represent power versus the older white men that were in the original portraits that Wile based his work on. The subjects hold a certain spot of power and authority in his pieces because they are the main focus and they're positioned in a way that draws attention to them. They're in artificial poses because it makes the viewer question what's going on with these works of art. It's not typical and because of that it's interesting. His work is a cliche and really gets the viewer's mind moving.
I think it can be important to put artwork in the eye of the public but it's not necessary to. Art can be just as amazing if it's not published in a place where it gets a lot of attention but I think what truly makes art the most moving for a lot of people is the environment in which it is in. When you go to a museum they have artwork arranged in different kind of set ups. The museum sets a mood by putting similar styles and pieces together. With Banksy's art he picks locations that add to his artwork by setting a mood.
